"Embrace change. True success can be defined by your ability to adapt to changing circumstances." – Ritu Ghatourey
The only thing that is permanent is change. It is a cliché, but no one can refute its truth.

To create more positivity around you, you need to understand that changes happen and they can any time. Nothing is definitely forevermore.

When you learn to embrace change, you are actually reversing the common victim mentality mindset saying that changes only bring nuisance and discomfort.

Welcoming change will allow you to focus and look for the lessons that can be learned from a specific situation and what to do when it happens again.

Also, your ability to adapt to any kind of situation actually makes you stronger in the long run. When changes are happening all around, you can be the only person that could think sensibly.

How do you embrace change? Here are three ways:

1. Acknowledge the possibility of change

Change is sure, however which way you believe it. They happen quickly and suddenly at any given time without signs or warnings. Be attentive and ready when it comes.

Instead of trying to control change, let it happen when it reveals itself. Especially when it is something that is out of your control. There is no use in denying or resisting it when you can’t do anything about it.

2. Don’t expect too much
Most of a person’s disappointments, miseries, and pessimism are the results of too much expectation.

When you are always assuming, you are actually trying to resist things to happen as they are. You are opposing reality. Accept that people will not always do and be what you want and circumstances will not always go your way.

People change. We are dynamic beings driven by a lot of factors both internally and externally. You can’t manipulate people. If you can’t accept that then you should be ready for a lot of pain and negativity in your life.

Circumstances change. There are just some things that are out of your control. You don’t have to demand an explanation for everything.

The rain will not stop for you, nor can you keep a car from breaking down. You must acknowledge the likelihood of disappointments or you will forever be frustrated.

3. Learn to adapt and be flexible

Never put all your eggs in one basket, so to speak.

One way to adapt to change is by being flexible to anything that may come your way. Having a lifestyle that is change-friendly will sustain positivity in your soul that is hard to break.

It’s okay to focus, simplify, and streamline your life. To be so disciplined that nothing can stop you from doing your routine. But being too rigid without any room for adjustments is a formula for unhappiness and despair.

Even when you are living with laser-like focus, you still have to stay open for anything. It’s a mark of true maturity.

Remember, not all changes are for the worse. Some may actually be beneficial for you even if it does not look so initially. Eventually, you may find out for yourself.

Key Idea: Learn to acknowledge and accept change. Lessen your expectations and be flexible.
