Year-end Mini Hiatus: Stay With Me!

It’s been a while since I last wrote here.

I’ve written just one post in December, and this is the first one in January.

From what I know, a couple of my blogger friends – Carlo and Kevin – are the ones on blogging hiatus. Not me.

One reason may be because of the very busy Christmas season we Filipinos are typically known for.

Just a bit of trivia: Christmas in the Philippines extends from September to February. How about that?

Seriously, seems like I may be having a harder time writing after declaring that this blog is going on a new direction.

I don’t know why I am so pressured, there’s not that many people who are reading my blog anyway. But I am… and I desperately need writing inspiration.

The other day I was reading a guest post by Craig Ballantyne at Zen Habits, and I agree that sometimes you have to “write to repel.” What does that mean?

It means that you have to write with honesty.

It means that you don’t have to worry about making everybody like what you write. You can’t please every one with your writing, but only the ones that can identify with what you write.

With that in mind, I write this first post of 2013. I’ve given up being pressured by the thought of others judging me.

Actually, I have many blog post ideas and, as a teaser, here are the titles:

  • How a Minimalist Father Spends His Holiday
  • My Personal Possessions Update
  • Looking (and Moving) Forward to 2013
  • Thinking about Project 333
  • It is OK for a Minimalist to Own More of His Favorite Stuff
These are ones in my draft box now, and I will be rewriting (re-titling) them for posting these coming days.

So stay with me! :)
